After having spent FOREVER barricaded in her hide my A. chalcodes finally came out. I had expected her to molt in there because she'd refused food the whole time and been uncharacteristically defensive. Well she came out and there was no molt to be found and she still looked fat and drab. Well a day or so ago she put down a little molt mat behind the hide and I was excited. Yesterday afternoon I saw her on her back and then yesterday evening I had two tarantulas! Hurray for a pretty molt! More pictures to come. I'm excited for the molt because it looks like it's in nice condition. My A. versicolor makes a total mess of his and they've never resembled a tarantula.

Also, every time one molts I'm always worried and watch all nervously. I was wondering if there's anything I can do for them if they're having a bad molt?
