    feeding question...

    so my BP is about 2 feet long and the fattest part of his body is about 5in round.. he's been eating adult mice once a week for a wile now... so when do i upgrade to a larger size mouse? also whats the next size mouse? and when do i start feeding every two weeks?

    Have you tried rats yet? I would switch if you can makes life a lot easier I feed mine once a week small rat as adults seems to work great for my big normal girl she is about 1350G right now. Also here is a feeder chart from a local rodent supplier in the Seattle Area

    Edit do you have a scale for snake weight yet that also help take a lot of the guess work out of what size to feed

    MICE

    Sm. Pink 1-2 grams
    Lg. Pink 2-4 grams
    Peach Fuzz 4-6 grams
    Fuzzies 5-8 grams
    Hoppers 8-12 grams
    Sm. Mice 11-16 grams
    Med. Mice 15-24 grams
    Lg. Mice 24-28 grams
    XLg. Mice 30 grams+

    Rats:
    Rat Sm. Pink 3-8 grams
    Rat Lg. Pink 5-12 grams
    Rat Fuzzies 10-20 grams
    Rat Pup 20-30 grams
    Rat Wean 30-45 grams
    Rat Sm. 40-80 grams
    Rat Med. 80-150 grams
    Rat Lg. 140-200 grams
    Rat XLg. 190-250 grams
