I've known about this but didn't know not enough did.

Its about the tar sands in Canada.
Exxon mobile has a commercial claiming this is a good thing.
Its actually the biggest man made disaster capable of being seen from space.

My boyfriend works for Lush. A environment and animal pro rights company that makes hand made cosmetics that are either 100% vegan, or vegetarian. Meaning they are all natural, and against animal testing.

They also are big time activists and always protest things such as the tar sands.

They made a YouTube video to educate and spread the word about it.
Its not graphic but has some swear words in the video but its a explicit topic that calls for explicit tactics to get people to come to realize its a VERY SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS project.

So to avoid another mark against me on my beloved BP.net

It has inappropriate language in the text IN the video.
I urge you to search the YouTube video
    "Lush tar sands"
And like it, post it to your facebook, twitter, anything to help spread the word.

Hope everyone takes the 3 minutes to watch and share this video.
Even if no one shares it to their social network,
Hopefully it will come up in conversation with friends and family to raise awareness and help Lush.

    Thanks.

So you pick and choose what "hot topic" they stand for that you agree with? Do they know you and your boyfriend have reptiles?

It's one thing to take a stand against something you believe in and another to take a stand for something because you feel you should stand for something.

Lol if they did I wouldn't care. But the topic of the tar sands is a lot more important. The destruction of Canada and the ecosystem around this devastation and the impact it has on our planet seems like something that would trump priority over the reptile thing wouldn't ya say?

The video shows one slant in a major issue.

Choosing to support a anti-pet group just so you get free cosmetics is pretty shallow. I mean, if you wanted to support anti-tar sand mining or whatever... but to support a animal rights group that specifically is anti-reptile keeping? I mean.. why not support HSUS/PETA because hey, they send free stickers.

I'm sure there's plenty of groups against the tar sand mining that don't also include radical animal rights junk.

At the end of the day is there really a more organic product than oil?
