    Can't find Betadyne

I've looked all over for Betadyne and can't seem to find anyone who sells it. Is there something else I can use on my snakes, I'm treating them for mites. Also, if there isn't something else I can use, where do you guys buy yours from... thanks!

Betadine isn't for mites. Betadine is an antiseptic for use on injuries.

What you want is Provent a Mite (aka PAM *not the cooking spray)

You won't find it in any stores so you have to get it online.

I know some people who use Betadine to get the mites off the animal but you cant treat the enclosure so it's far from a good treatment. It's temp. At best. You can get it at Walmart.

Make sure you research how to use provent a mite before you use it.

Sorry I guess I didn't explain myself well enough. I know they aren't used to treat mites I wanted to use it for the bites (wounds) not that I see any. I'm using Mite off right now until Pam comes in. I'm fairly new to all this so I wasn't prepared... dind't even know about PAM. Thanks

I've been to Wal-Mart (Canada) they didn't have it. I've also been to all the local pharmacy's in my area. Can't find it either, is there something else an equivalent that I could use? Maybe just iodine? Thanks

Check at feed stores, in the animal/feed section of hardware stores, or ask the pharmacists where you can find betadine.

Betadine is povidone-iodine, so ask for that, in case there's another brand name that Canada carries.
