Animal basics rack
I was looking at their rack that uses the iris mcb-l tubs. 30.6 quart, 16 1/8" x23 3/4" x 6"
Are these large enough for adult bp's? And does anyone know how they mount the heat tape?
I think it was C serpant that has the heat tape recessed a little, I liked that as it looked like it would be a little less wear on it.
Thanks guys!

You should just pick up a plastic 5 or 4 teir shelf, and do some easy modifications. it would cost a fraction of the price materials.
Im not very knowledgable when it comes to pythons yet!, but I think a 30.6q is to small. try like a 35/36q for males and a 40q for females, which grow larger.

Somehow I skimmed right over that... My phone hates me sometimes lol! They also have this one that would be a better size.

I like that the offer free shipping and it comes with the tubs.
Does anyone else have any racks to recommend? I may end up building my own anyway but for something around this price range I'll just skip the hospital bill =P

Animal Plastics are nice, but you have to put it together and source your own tubs. Both of which are very straight forward.

I would go with the CB-70 size
Animal Plastics makes great products.

Either way Reptile Basics or AP you will get a great rack and great service.
Honestly the professionally made PVC racks are much better than home made racks. They hold in heat very well since they are enclosed and are manufactured by computer controlled machines that make the parts (and future replacement parts if needed) exactly the same with an incredible amount of precision.

If you're going to go with the cb-70 tubs (which I highly recommend for adults), I would check out Animal Plastics as well.

i have an animal plastics hatchling rack, the 45 tub one, i got to say they are worth their money, very easy to put together, everything is tight, yes you have to get the tubs through another source, but it is really not a bad thing since they (A.P.), give you the links to the tubs in the product description of the racks. out of the the tubs sizes for the adults, i would say the CB-70 or the iris tub # 10008765, Dimensions 35-5/8" x 18-1/4" x 6-1/4" h, we will be going with the Iris ones ourselves for our adults since we are very happy with the way the smaller iris tubs are made, they are not brittle like the rubbermade, sterilite or the holmes tubs.

I'm going to use this as an example, I know it's now the adult rack bucky I've seen adult racks made this way also

Hopefully I didn't over look this info in the description =/ lol!
For the large tubs in the picture that slide in wide instead of long, doesn't it make it harder for the animals to thermo regulate? Or is the heat tape running front to back on one side?
