weight gain & shedding while off feed

I have a big normal female that's been off feed for about 4months now. She has put on 71 grams since she stopped eating & now she's shedding.. Seems weird to me that this would happen with no food for that long.

I have been paring her with a male for the last couple months. I would think it could be a pre lay shed, but there is zero lumps, bulges or any changes in her that would indicate she was going to lay. I run my finger up her belly & it's empty as can be.

She also hasn't defecated or pee'ed in 2 1/2 months. She has become very skittish of being touched or picked up, never was like that before.

    Thanks for any comments

Could you post pics? When did you palpate her last? I'd get the incubator ready just in case.

Re: weight gain & shedding while off feed

Here are a couple, not sure if they will help. She didn't want me around at all.
