28 qt tub can fit what size snake?

Hey everyone! I just built my first custom rack system using 28 qt sterilite containers. I was wondering, til what weight can i house snakes in these containers? What size tub do i go to after they "graduate" from the 28qt? Thanks for the help, as always!

Males could stay in that size their whole life except for the abnormally large ones lol. And female bps would be ok up until 2000grams then most people move them to a 41qt. Some people keep all their balls in just 32qts or keep males in 28qts and females in 32qts. Whatever works for you really. Right now I have all mine in 41qts because thats just the size rack i built...

To be honest i just researched this topic for the last two days. Within this forum from a google search turned up the following TRENDS.

28 quart tubs are able to house full grown males. (I saw talk that 32 quart tubs are the same dimensions of a 32 quart tub but the 32 quarts have a larger height)

41 quart tubs are able to house full grown females. (Understand that from what i have read this is really a preference.)

In a very short concise conclusion. You could technically get away with using those 28 quart tubs for ever! Assuming that the length and width are the same dimensions of a 32 quart tub. As i previously stated above... some prefer to house their females in larger tubs, but I've also seen people who keep both male and females in their 28 quart tubs.

Personally i just bought 4 sterilite 41 quart tubs that i am going to use for my rack system. For fun i let my pastel girl crawl around in one of them and when she is fully spread out she is the length of the tub. Note that she is only about a year and possibly a half old.

Since i feel that the tubs are a little long i will probably use hides within my tubs just because i never want my snakes to feel stressed with the wide open container.

    Hope this helps mate!

Try a google search as well, something like "Housing adult ball python tub size net". Throwing in the net at the end will end up searching this forum.

yea i actually already built mine out of melamine. it holds 7 41qt tubs. Its not perfect but it only cost me roughly $180. (for melamine, screws, tubs, and flexwatt. i already had a t-stat). So until i save up for a nicer pvc one itll work perfectly for what i need it to do. Especially since the pvc racks i was looking at were like $600- $800 lol! If you have any questions about building your rack, dont hesitate to PM me

thanks everyone! looks like i'll keep all my males in here FOREVER! Cost me $17 and 30 minutes to build a 2 tub rack. It was super easy and i made it custom with a opening top.

i dont have a camera besides the one on my phone or an online photo account but ill see what i can do. With a little creativity, anyone can build their own rack/cage and custom fit it to their own needs. I dont even drill holes into the plastic and am maintaining 63% humidity in both tubs.
