    Possible Ovulation?

What do you guys think? I have been pairing for 4 weeks. The first 2 I got locks. The last 2 no locks. I looked at my female today and she looked really big. Could she be ovulating? She last ate on 3/11 so its not a food lump. Hmmm..

No, not yet. They will not have any hard bends like she does in her lower half. Just below and just above the swell, that's it. Here is a pic of early ovy, as the day goes on it becomes a much longer and larger swell. It will go all the way down to about 6 inches from the cloaca...

Definitely not big enough to be an ov, she looks nice and big though, I would keep faith in her.

And just for fun, here's an ov picture of one my my girls, very obvious

I've been pairing since August and I've only got 2 ovs...I think you have a ways to go, lol

You will know it when you see it! Sometimes the "building" looks a lot like early ov, though.

Yeah I see the difference. The problem is when I bred her last time I completely missed the ovulation so I have no point of reference. Uggh. Ok, Ill keep on pairing. Thanks all

Unless she was with a male before hand and had been growing follicles, 4 weeks isn't enough time to build follicles to ovulate.
They will glow after preov shed and then 6-8 weeks later ovulate and then go into prelay shed.
You're female doesn't look to be glowing so ovy isn't possible.

If you look at Mike's snake pic that female is super light and glowing, and Stephanies pic shows the same, not as light, but still probably much lighter than that snake normally is.
