    New to BP's and future breeding

    I've owned a snake before and seem to have been bitten by the good ol' Ball Python bug. I'm in LOVE with them. One day I want to breed my future collection so I've been doing tons of reading and morph researching and all that.

    Now, my idea is that I'll start with two or three female normals, a male pastel, spider and het for russo.

    When they've matured I'll do all sorts of breeding, hold back most of the first few clutches and breed those once they've matured. I understand this is going to be a very long project (it'll take nearly a decade I'm sure) but my ultimate goal is to produce a BEL. I'm so in love with them ;u;

    I don't really care about money as this is going to be more of a personal thing but as a supplement to the reading i'm doing already, do any of you have tips/advice/suggestions?

    Thanks a lot

    If you dont care about money then why not just buy a BEL lol?
    My suggestion would be to start off with one double gene male and 2 or 3 single gene females.

    lol no I meant that I don't care about profit so much right now. I'd buy a BEL but they're.... kinda out of my price range

    that's why I'd get the het for russo. after some years hopefully I could produce one myself.

    Why not buy a Mojave female and a lesser/butter male? That's not too terribly heavy price wise. (:

    Welcome to the site! Lots of great people and information here!

    I was also "bit by the good ol' Ball Python bug"... Got my first as a gift for x-mas in 2010 and now just came home with my 10th this past weekend.

    Lots of snakes, a bunch of horses and an array of other animals small and large!
