    advise please, possible RI

Hello friends I noticed this evening when I had my pastel out that he was making a wheezing sound or a whistle when he breathes. He is a 2010, has never had health problems, weighs a little over 600g, eats well. He didn't eat for a couple weeks this month but is back on now. He has always had perfect sheds. What I have don't differently is changed the bedding I was using from one brand of cypress mulch to another. Perhaps it doesn't hold humidity as well. I have sprayed down his tub good to get the humidity. I am concerned because I have never come across an RI before. He has no mucous, no bubbles, and no gunk on the sides of his tub. I want to help my baby. Is there anything else I can do? I am hoping to avoid a vet visit but I will do whatever I need to. I have 2 2011 bps that seem fine in the same rack. Any advise or information welcome. Thank you

Bump up the heat a degree or 2 and keep the humidity around 60%. Just keep a close eye on him and get him away from the rest of your collection until you know that he doesn't have a RI for sure.

If it's more of a whistle than a wheeze, it could be some stuck shed in the nose.

I didn't see any stuck shed in his nose, but I didn't hold him down good to look or anything. I didn't want to stress him more. Will check later to see if I see anything

I would wait till the next shed to be sure its RI. I had a pastel start "wheezing". I was sure it was RI, but the noise went away during the next shed. Turned out it was old shed making the wheezy sounds.

In the mean time, I recommend separating your snake away for the others. Better safe than sorry.

I will be checking when I get home from work today to see if he has anything in his little nose. I am praying that is all that it is! I freak out easy, but my snakes are my babies and if there is anything going on I want to catch it fast. Thank you guys for your help, I will post on here whether I find anything tonight or not.

Alright folks, I promise I am not crazy. I went to check on him when I got home and could not see any shed in or around his nose. But I also did not hear the wheeze/whistle. I listened for a while and I heard nothing. He probably got tired or me putting his head to my ear. Could it have been some dust or just too dry nostrils or am I crazy?
