    Ultrasounding your females

So lately, I've been ultrasounding my females. I haven't tried it in the past, but let me just say, it's really cool. I expecially like that I get to count the number of follicles for sure. Also, that I can see at what stage of development they are.

Anyway, I'm wondering how many others on here use ultrasound for females. What do you think is the optimum follicle size to get them bred? From the info I can gather, it seems that they ovulate between 27-35 mm.

Anyway, I'm just wondering more info on it. What info can you share on ultrasounding bps for follicles, follicle size, when to pair them, etc...?

    thanks

We don't have an ultrasound machine but I'd LOVE to get one.

I really like Raphy's vid of they guys at NERD using one, lots of good info. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHGCJ3XMi-g

Yeah, Raphy's video is great on it. I'd just like more info.

We ultrasounded a couple females the other day. One had follicles 34 mm. She had not ovulated. From other info I've found, I thought they ovulate between ~27-32 mm. The next female had follicles that were 29 mm. She also had not ovulated yet.

2 others we ultrasounded had 11mm and 8mm follicles, respectively. Is pairing at that stage not necessary? Is it more productive to pair when the follicles are 20 mm? Is it too late to pair when they're past 24mm? At what size is a lock the most likely to take? I don't know if anyone really has answers to these questions, but if so, I'd sure like to know. Maybe we'll experiment on a couple over the next couple years. Just wonder if someone already has this info...
