There are many other rack makers that have much better customer service and shorter wait times. Personally, I would not recommend boaphile.

Animal Plastics has great products and great customer service, Reptile Basics has great products and great customer service. I don't understand why anyone buys from Boaphile, they make decent products and have terrible customer service. There isn't a big price difference between any of them or anything like that.

I have one and I like it a lot. I did a video about it a while back. It is a solid rack and does its job very well.

With that said, I just ordered a AP 7 drawer Sterlite 1755 rack. Lead time is still 5 weeks on a AP, so not much different than Boaphile in that regard. AP did send me an invoice, which Boaphile never did. Jeff from Boaphile is good customer service wise if you CALL him. Forget about emailing.

Now if AP would make a rack with the Rubbermaid drawer in my Boaphile....

Reptile Basics customer service is unbeatable. Ive heard animal plastics are very good too. If you order a rhino raxx itll be at least 2 months minimum before you get it. I think 8 weeks is the minimum i have heard of someone getting their rack from boaphile...

Life is too short to put up with crappy customer service. Go with AP or RBI.

    Re: Boaphile RhinoRaxx?

I should be getting my rhinoraxx next week ( fingers crossed ). I will definitely let you know how it is. I will say, so far I havent really had a lot of contact with Jeff except for one phone call I made. Honestly though, I know the specs, I know when it is suppose to be delivered so what do I need customer service for right now? Hopefully when I get it, there wont be any issues. Let me say this though. This is a 4 tub rack system. If I was ordering a couple thousand $$ worth, maybe I would want more customer service. For a couple hundred $$, not a necessity.

As far as looks, design and price, for me boaphile was the best for what I wanted and needed.

I called around and checked before I bought this rack and tbh, all the lead times were the same - 5 weeks.

EDIT : I just saw RBI has a short lead time. When I ordered my rack, they had JUST started back into racks. Apparently they found a contractor to build their racks. When I asked for a lead time from them, they were very hesitant to give me one but " suggested " it would be around 4-5 weeks. Wasnt worth the risk at the time.

It's just more professional and when I spend that kind of money somewhere I expect a certain level of communication.

When I order something from AP they:

    1. send me a order confirmation

    2. An email to make sure that I don't have any questions about my order and an estimated shipping date.

    3. If I have any questions they are answered within 48 hours no mater how I contact them (email/phone)

sure none of that is necessary, but it did save me the first time I ordered something from them (I had accidentally forgot an add on that I wanted, and because of their email I caught it and they fixed it for me and sent me an updated order confirmation)

Maybe its just me but I honestly cant think of anything I have bought that cost a few hundred $$s that I have needed customer service for. I mean they provide a phone number. When I called Jeff, I got him immediately. We talked about my order and he told me when it would be delivered. More than enough for me.

Also, going back over the websites, I remembered why I went with Boa. They had exactly what I wanted for the price whereas the other two didnt. I would gladly give up a confirmation email for that.

Listen, if I get my rack and something is wrong and then I get the runaround, I will be the first on here to make a big deal about it. But personally I think people make too much of a big deal about the customer service considering I havent seen anything but good reviews of the actual product.

Wow, I'd always heard good things about Boaphile before this but now have to reconsider, My big problem is that Reptile Basics doesn't really have what I want (was looking at the 12 15 qt rack) and AP only has it in their economy line, but comes w/o tubs and unassembled (with me being a noob at this that comes in big), and quite frankly the quality looks to be lacking compared to the Rhinoraxx, nevermind they're also w/o tubs.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm really conflicted now so more advice is really appreciated.
