    Glue guns and probes

Does anyone have any advice for using glue guns to hold thermostat or thermometer probes in place (besides don't get it on the probe itself, except maybe the tiniest bit to hold a probe in place?)

I'd be a little concerned about damaging the wires with the heat. Is this a valid concern? Should I be using the lower temperature setting on the gun?

I haven't done it myself but don't see it doing anything to the wire, it shouldn't get hot enough..

    Re: Glue guns and probes

I hold the wires in place and then put a big blob of glue righ across the top of it. Hold the wire in place until the glue sets up enough to hold it, then move down a few inches and put another blob. The glue cools and sets pretty quickly. Blowing on it helps...
