I've been paranoid recently when I discovered scale rot. My ball python is about nine months old I guess. I've had him since he was a baby. He is currently shedding, so I don't know if it could be related. He's been having a hard time shedding do some sites suggested a bath. That's when I saw blood by his anal flap. I only saw it once, so maybe it was nothing. But when I was searching online I saw belly rot and got very scared. I've been thinking of taking him to a vet, but I don't want unnecessary vet charges if I can fix it myself.
I can't post a picture but his underbelly is pinkish and there are some brownish spots. I know that's not much but I don't have authority to post a picture.
The humidity is at 60 but sometimes it oes down to 50. I have a heating pad under the tank and the temp says between 75 and 78.
