Afraid of her food...
My new pinstripe tried to feed yesterday, I gave her a super tiny mouse and she struck twice but the mouse got away and then she balled up and hid. So, I figured I'd give her a handicap and gave her some hoppers. She's afraid of them. Suggestions? And I did try f/t, no interest at all. She was eating live when I got her.

Re: Afraid of her food...
Try a young rat pup. One that still has its eyes closed. Put it in her tank/tub live, and leave them alone. As long as its eyes are closed, it can't hurt her. Then she may feel comfortable eating in peace and darkness. Just put the pup near her hide. Good luck. Btw, I would wait a week before trying to feed again.

That's great, I'm glad she ate! You just don't ever want to leave her alone with anything alive, that has its eyes open. They can do lots of damage in no time.
