    Surprised to See this in the Rat bin

    Only ever had a all gold female that passed 5 months ago. Never did she pass on her genes.

    Then today i clean the rats and wean some and find this lil guy out of nowhere. 90% of my stock is siameses

    Not sure, I think its a boy, and im all set on males as all my racks are full. And my males i got now are big Studs.

    Will he molt or will he look like that forever?
    I've had 2 rats that looked exactly like that and both molted into siamese.

    He wont molt into siamese as the fur is gold. Ive had others like this but not gold that molted to siamese.

    Only time will tell but my guess is no

    It makes sense since you have siamese, that every once in a while you would something like that. It'a a recessive gene, and it can hide for a long time before popping out.
