best tape to secure uth to tank?

Yes I have a thermostat and yes I know tanks do not work well for ball pythons. I am jus wondering what kind of tape I should get from home depot so that the UTH doesn't keep falling off the bottom of the tank.

    Aluminum tape. It's for ducts.

It cost $20 for a big roll.

One roll will last you a long time.

Aluminum tape is the best. For a temporary fix electrical tape would be fine too

If I am using flexwatt with a t8 from animal plastics do i need to put rubber stoppers on the corners so that heat can excape from the bottom or is it okay sitting on a wooden shelf and all the heat just going through to the bottom of the enclosure?

Personally I would use the little rubber feet to elevate it off the wooden surface.

I do not, my bottom cage sits on the 8" stand sold by AP but that is my only cage that the flexwatt has air under it. the rest of my cages are stacked one on top of each other so they are completely sandwiched inside. i haven't had any issues yet.

because AP puts the slot in the bottom of the cage for the thermostat probe you won't have any overheating issues since the thermostat is measuring the Flexwatt's temperature directly.

This is how I tape my flexwatt on (set up with a divider)

If you are using flexwatt with aluminum tape, make sure that the tape does not come into contact with the heating element. I always use electrical tape on the ends after I have cut the tape. And then tape over the electrical tape with the aluminum tape.

I yield the floor to Aaron on this one. He has much more PVC cage experience than I do. Thanks Aaron.
