    Paisley's first outing!

Well I took Paisley out to the Pet store today, I was very surprised at her behavior, she stayed wrapped around my right hand the whole time I drove. When we got there the lady at the pet store wanted to hold Paisley, so I pryed her off my hand and gave paisley to the lady while I got my feeders and other supplies. I got Paisley back and she was fine, until the lady walked by me at a really fast pace and Paisley struck at her. IDK why she would do that. They gave me a small box to put Paisley in for the ride home, well my daughter held the box and Paisley wanted out, so when I got closer to home I got her out of the box and she wrapped around my hand again and stayed there until we got home and now she is hiding and happy.

She was probably basking on the warmth of your wrist lol Our body temperature probably feels pretty good to them.

I know she seemed happy to hang out on your wrist, and it's hard to leave them be, but you are taking a huge safety risk by having a loose animal in your car while driving, especially when the driver is holding it. BPs are notorious for just letting go and dropping - typical human reaction would be to grab for the snake rather than watch the road and steering wheel, which can put everyone in the car in serious danger.

I would be more worried about mites or worse.. I try not to go to pet stores much anymore, but when i do, the first thing i do when i get home is change clothes, and get a shower.

Not sure I could drive with a BP on my wrist...I like looking at them too much...it would be worse than texting in traffic.

    Re: Paisley's first outing!

When we first got our bps we once took one to the pets store with us. People were scared of him, one lady wouldn't even get in line behind us. Nowadays, I am to scared of bringing something unwanted home, so they don't go much of anywhere anymore, except to school for "show and tell" once a year.
