    Will this tub work?

So I've been slowing acquiring supplies for my first ball python and the last item on the list is a tub! I have no clue what size I should use so my question is...

-What size tub would be good for a small python approx 173g (if that helps).

Below I have a 16" long, 10" wide, and 6" deep tub. I'm thinking this is too small but maybe I'm wrong? Please let me know your thoughts!

Awesome! When should I move him into a bigger tub? Will he have some growing room in there?

Looks great! I'm sure he'll be comfy and happy. Good luck with your soon-to-be snake, and nice job on planning ahead and researching

Yes I have done tons of research in the last two weeks! This forum has been of great help too! Sounds good, I'm glad I found a tub lying around my house, saved me a few bucks

It will work just make sure to provide two identical tight hides such as plastic flower pot saucers and you will be good

Thanks Deborah! Hides and a water bowl are the next items on my list to pick up! I'll be hunting around for those this weekend. I was about to email you some quick questions but I'll just ask you here...

    - I'm most likely going to be buying food off rodentpro for the normal you are selling me and was unsure of what to get?

    - I also understand you are feeding him live, will it be tough to make the switch to F/T?

    Thanks in advance,
    Nick

Right now he eats rat pups

I did feed him live and last night and fed him a P/K and even though he was in deep blue he took it without problem so I am gonna try to put at least 2 more meals in him and see how he does with frozen, chances how by the way he took P/K it should not be an issue.
