Heat Mat for adult ball pythons

I'm just curious...Right now, all of my ball pythons are on Zoo Med heat pads (10-20 gallon terrarium size). Do I necessarily need to replace them all with the larger size heat pads when they get bigger? hmmmm....

When you get bigger tanks you will need bigger heat mats.

I'm using tubs for all of them. And the heat mats are reusable since I place foil on the sticky side and tape it to the tubs with foil tape.

same goes, bigger tub=bigger heat mat. You need a heat mat that covers 1/3 to 1/2 of the bottom of the tub

As said - the heat should fit the enclosure. Are you planning on giving them bigger tubs as they grow? If so, you still want the UTH to fit (like Aaron said) no less than 1/3 of the tank and no more than 1/2. So, you may need a new one depending on the dimensions of the tank compared to the dimensions of the UTH.
