how many clutches are you expecting? the best incubator is one that you can grow into... For $200-$250 you might be better off building your own... remember you will need to get a good thermostat as well.

I know it's above your budget but I think that it is your best option, I believe it has a built in thermostat and humidity control system.

I converted an old Red Bull bar fridge into a incubator. It holds 6 clutches and was about $200 total for the fridge itself, the flexwatt tape, the fan and the proportional thermostat.

You can see the details of the conversion here: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...ull-Incubator!

You can usually find old glass door fridges with busted compressors on criagslist for dirt cheap which are not hard to convert in a incubator.

The most expensive component (and the most important) is a good proportional thermostat. I recommend either the Reptile Basics VE-200 or the Herpstat 1 Basic.

A Hovabator controlled by a Herpstat thermostat.

About $40 for the incubator, and $100 for the thermostat. If the incubator wears out, you can just buy a new one.

They hold temperatures beautifully, with a proper thermostat. Using substrateless incubation and no separate containers, will hold 5 clutches.

Build your own. Way more bang for the buck. If your incubating 40 dollar eggs then a hovabator with a cheap thermostat is fine.

You will not fit six clutched of BP in here. Dimension are a little over 16 inches X a little over 19 inches.

To the OP for the price range you are mentioning the best would be to build your own, you can often pickup a fridge for free and than you will spend about $200 for a reliable t-stat, heat tape and egg boxes, additionally you will be able to grow into it not having to upgrade the following year.

That's my incubator I can incubate 20 to 30 clutches depending on the tub size I use, between T-stat, heat tape, fan, all the egg boxes and egg crate I spend about $200 / $250
