    Poop

My BP is Has been pooping 24-48 hours after he eats. I've seen usual BP poop and his is different looking. It's long and thin like Uromastyx poop. Is this a bad sign or is this typical in young BP? He is 4 months old.

    Re: Poop

I am by no means a poop expert . I have snakes that poop like that and then sometimes it looks kinda like a cats barfed up hair ball. I don't think you have anything to worry about. I don't know if husbandry can affect pop but I am assuming everythingis correct? temperature can affect the snakes ability to digest its food.

My baby ball python shows now signs of any illness at all.
shes less then two feet and poops like a BEAST! puts the male to shame..
She [pooped] out THREE massive [poops] in like two weeks.
I think poop can just be individual to the snake.

I have cleaned it but I'll take a pic soon next time and post. Temps and humidity are perfect. Happy healthy snake. Just really thin long poops is all.

    Re: Poop

Pictures definately. Sounds probably normal. I think poo is individual to each snake, however, my young ones don't poop that much. How often and what are you feeding?

Snakes, like people, don't always make all the same poops. As long as your snake still has good appetite and looks fine otherwise, it's probably okay.

I picked up a bunch of 15g frozen mice as he is 154g. I am feeding him every 5 days. Maybe I need to feed larger? He comes right out his hide and takes the thawed mouse with no problem. The pet store only had the 15g then jumped to 30g hense why I am feeding smaller more often.

I'll just keep an eye for any signs of illness. Thanks guys.
