    Got me some WIDOWS!

So I traded in my Nhandu chromatus female at Tarantula Canada for two female 1" Latrodectus. I got a Latrodectus hasselti and a Latrodectus mactans mexicanus (the dark red abdominal colour form, if that makes sense).

I'll apologize in advance for the horrible picture quality, it really doesn't do them justice whatsoever. I had to take them from a phone and couldn't get a good angle to get really nice pics.

    Latrodectus mactans mexicanus, Mexican widow:

Latrodectus hasselti, Redback widow (I think? I'm horrible with common names lol):

And here's something cool I thought I'd show T keepers who don't keep widows, they actually have a pretty prominent epigastric furrow like T's do. I thought it was really cool when I noticed it on my mexicanus (but y'all may already know that haha, I may just be behind the boat).

While I don't think I'll ever fully understand what goes on inside the head of people who keep spiders, I can see that they are fascinating animals. Congrats on the pick ups!
