Do they continue to lock after ovulation?

Is it safe to assume that if a pair has locked consistantly and then have no interest in each other that an ovulation may have occurred and been missed?

They will lose interest after ovy, but I also have a girl that hasn't ovyd yet and the boys wont lock her anymore. Sometimes the female stops showing interest...

I think that for the most part this is true. They shouldnt lock after ovulation but I dont think that they always follow the rules. There are very persistant aggressive males the may try to lock after ovy and some males that will just get tired of a certain female when introduced over and over. I had males stop locking up with my females and they have not ovulated yet so I put in a new round of males and they all locked up. Did you catch any ovulations? Are they heat seeking? If not, maybe try some new males and see if you get a lock. My pinstripe male just locked with my 3,500 g normal girl the other day and I'm pretty she was either ovulating at the time or going through a pre ovulation swell, but she just doesnt seem to care and locks with any male I put her with. She has quit tailwagging and enticing though but since I wasnt 100% sure it was an ovy I am still paring, she is massive and it is hard to tell.

Yeah, after ovulation, they won't lock. However, sometimes females or males will just lose interest even if no ovulation has occurred. So if they stop locking you can't assume ovulation has occured unless you saw it.
