Hmmm I hope he makes it...
So I have a 2011 mystic male that's around 275-300g produceing a little sperm but won't lock up like my 275g chacolate male so this is my delima I have a 2000g+ mojave female I'm dieing to breed to my mystic but if he decides hes not ready which male would u breed to her?
Chacolate
Mocha
Albino
Or buy another male if I can just for her? I have 17 girls that should be breed and lay this year and most are normals so I'll have plenty of single gene babies and a few double and triple hopefully so what would y'all do? I've been looking at maybe picking up a calico male, pastel lesser, killer bee,or a few other double or triple gene males if I can lmk what y'all think

if you really want potions and your boy isnt up to snuff. i would wait another year entirely. your girl will be bigger, give you bigger eggs, possibly bigger number of eggs. if you breed her to something else and she produces this year she may not produce next year....

Or you could just wait and breed him this fall..That way he's up to weight and able to breed more than one girl..

Re: Hmmm I hope he makes it...
With the Mocha, you could at least make BEL's. I have a thing for BEL's though. I do love Potions as well. It really all depends on what you want. If you wait til next season, the Mystic will be ready to go and the Mojo girl will be even bigger. Totally your call.

Well I like bels also but the guy I got the mystic from I know very well he said the father bred 4 females at 400g and never stoped eating and I do know every snake is different but I know the mocha will go he's at 500g so which one do I go for I love both morphs and plan on holding back 75% of the females I produce this year

Do you have a history with the female? When did she lay last? Is she at the point where she must be bred now, otherwise she has to wait til next year?
If she laid in the summer/fall, then you likely have time to grow him bigger. if she is ready to breed right now, I'd put the mocha with her and wait on potions for next year. In any case, i would at least wait til he's up to 400 grams.
Good luck!

The mojave is a virgin female never been bred that's another part of my delima soo I really don't wanna miss out on her first clutch
-
-
If you hold off on the mojave till next fall, there is a big chance a girl at 2500-2800 grams could give you 10 eggs.

I know what you mean on hoping not to miss the chance, but I don't think it's worth the hassle/headache. You may get lucky and have him lock with her this spring or summer, and then find out she'll be a late season layer, but make sure he's always eating and growing.
One thing is that you have LOTS of other clutches, too. I'd just have to recommend having the patience and wait til next year...
On your original question, I'd pair her with the Mocha or Chocolate, not the albino. Good luck!
