    Dear lord...

This has happened to me twice, but it warrants a post whenever it occurs...

One of my bp's hit, constricted and began to mow a f/t rat last night. I guess she decided it wasn't up to her culinary standards because she dropped it sometime after I closed her bin...on the hot side. I usually check but it was late so I went to bed assuming she'd eaten it(she's a famously good eater)

Woke up to a few nice sensory surprises...

    That is all...

got a better one for you haha i was feeding before i left for 3 days (not the first time i had done that).. so i put the rat in... WHACK...normal so far... she drags it around for a while then starts to eat. so i check all my bins to make sure everyone ate.. all good.. so i top off everybodys water and hit the road... so 3 days i come back later and holy crap it smells horribleeee. i start checking bins fearing the worst. i get to my adult female butter and omg its horrible.. i guess she hadnt eated the rat but she drug it into the corner and sat on it (thats why i didnt see a rat when i checked before i left) and wouldnt you know it there were maggots everywhere and rotting rat... THANKFULLY she was smart and was on the opposite side of the tub and she ended up being fine but i let that tub air out for 2 weeks haha... so trust me i smell what your steppin in

Oh no i just barely had this experience:
A couple weeks ago a little mouse gets out. I keep my feeders In my basement and have two cats with full access so I didn't really worry about it. I'm a single female so I don't have much laundry and do my laundry every Monday. Well this week I start smelling something down in the basement. Something.... Well horrible. I sniff around and I dont see anything so I just kinda ignore it and after checking all the rat and mouse bins I just figured a mouse had died in the wall or something. I go to do my laundry this past Monday and I smelled it pretty badly so I start sniffing around again but I don't see anything so I ignore and open the washing machine. I go to turn over my laundry basket and whoa the smell of death hits me like a freight train. I look in my washing machine and here is this bloated, nasty falling apart mouse that I must have washed with my laundry last week. I don't have an easy stomach but that made me loose my cookies. Especially because I realized I was wearing clothes that I had in the wash the week before. The dead mousey clothes. Needless to say I did a couple rinse loads of just bleach. Eewww luckily it didn't go into the dryer. But I know that smell and it's horrendous.
