    Bumble Bee Pics.....

Here's a few pics of a Bumble Bee female we produced in 2011. There were two BBs in the clutch, both females but this one looks different from other BBs I've seen including her sister. Maybe it's just my old eyes and wishful thinking. I thought I would throw it out there for you guys to look at. Feel free to share your opinion. Thanks for looking.

She is really cool looking. I would have held her back too. Her head looks really different than most bumble bees I've seen.

The eyes are not the bright green I would expect for a bee, what was the pairing that produced her?

Something does look odd? I agree with the eyes not being green too. I'd like to see the pairing as well.

She's amazingly clean! What type of pastel did you use?

I was thinking the same... No colour in the eye, and not as bright as what i have?

Thanks to everyone for your comments. Please keep them coming.

Her mom is a Bumble Bee we picked up as a baby. Better than average looking but to my knowledge she's not supposed to be anything out of the ordinary. The only pics I have of her are from about the time we got her. I'll post one of them below.

Her dad could be any of a group of males her mom was bred to. We observed copulation with each of the following males:

Mystic, Lemon Blast, Enchi, Calico and Lesser.

I'm not sure what line of Pastel mom is from.

The clutch produced two BBs, the other not as nice as this one, a pair of Lessers both with better color than any Lessers we've previously produced and a high gold reduced pattern Spider.

    Here's mom as a baby.
