    Rat birthing tub size

    Hey guys what is a good sized tub for a birthing rat is a 6qt sterilite good or is that to small? Would like a 12 qt sterilite work or do you guys reccomend bigger?

    I would go w/ a 12 or 16. 6 seems small.
    My birthing rats are in sterilite bins like this, but the 16qt version.

    6 quarts will be way too small 15 will work however you need to make sure there are no groves that the rats can use to start chewing their way out.

    I'd recommend using cat litter pans. Medium size tends to be about right for my mom rats
