just rescued a red tail boa , she has not been handled for about 6 months, when i got her some water she drank for 10 minutes. she is 3 years old and about 6ft long. i was told she might be a pastel or something but i don't beleive what he said.in the cage there was no bedding or anything to climb on no hides, just a red heat light, been working with her got most of the bad shed off that took two days. she now lets me in the cage without striking. the wet towel i put on her sh was in it for over and hour and half she let me rub her with a wet cloth here's a few pics of her we named her Sonja from the movie (Red Sonja). so what do you think of her.

I know the cage is nasty it was a lot worse when i picked her up, and yes she had a rat for me last night and she's feeling better and i can pet her too.

Sonja is beautiful and fyi I would classify her as a pastel, very clean and light.
For her previously being kept in less than ideal husbandry she looks quite healthy.
I commend you for taking her in.

Not sure I'd call it a pastel, looks a lot like my girl. Take good care of her!
