    First Shed!!

First, please excuse any typos in this post. Pablo is apparently very content being wrapped around my right hand, resting is head on the back of it, lol.

But I'm so super excited to get through Pablo's first shed with me!! On the night of the 21st, I noticed his belly looked a little pink. Because I'm anewbie snake owner, I dismissed it as something I was imagining. The next night, when he was out and about I went to handle him and was shocked to see how dull he was and his cloudy eyes. I quickly put him back in his enclosure and upped the humidity.

Thanks to Serpent Merchant I was able to maintain the perfect humidity for Pablo. After the 23rd, I didn't see him, even at night. He was always either in his hot side hide or his cool side. He initially seemed to prefer the hot side, but the past couple of days Inoticed he was in his cool side.

Well, i got home tonight after having dinner with my mom and noticed he was out of his hides like he usually is! He was draped across the mini tree branch in hsi enclosure and boy was he all shiny and nice! So then I started the hunt for his shed. It didn't come off all in one piece, but there's NO stuck shed on him!!!!!!! I found the majority of his shed crumpledd up in a ball in his hots ide hide and a small intact piece in his cool side hide. Little stinker wasn't going to let me see his first shed, I guess!

I've got asmall mouse thawing for him right now since it's been alittle over a week. I'll see if he takes it, no big deal if he doesn't.

I'm so excited! Iwas worried he'd have stuck shed on him since that seems to be common problem with newbie snake owners.
