What morph would you choose if you were in my shoes
I am in a bit of a predicament. I do not know what morph to get. It's between, Mojave, Lemon Pastel, Pastel, MAYBE a lesser platty (and I am seeing this morph for the first time on a website), cinnamon, I would love a Pastave but can't afford it right now as my first. Maybe next year.
What do you all think?
0.0.1 A. Versicolor (tarantula)

0.1 Dog
0.0.1 C. Cyaneopubescens (tarantula)
Coming soon: 0.1 Pastel Ball Python

Since this is your first ball python, you should choose the one that you like best. If you plan on breeding in the future, get a female for sure.

I would say a nice Mojave or a true Lemon Pastel. Be careful since Lemon is thrown around a lot.

It really depends on what you like. Do you plan to breed your snake in the future? If so, you might want to get a female pastel or mojave now and grow her up for a while. Then get a male that is the other morph (pastel or mojave) in a year or so and then breed your own pastaves. That's what I would do.

I really like Mojaves I've found. Looking around at first I liked pastels but mojaves are just gorgeous to me.
I was also debating whether to get a male or female. I would like to breed some day so I guess starting with a female would be best so it can mature, right?

I would say for sure a lemon pastel for your first. Every great collection starts with a pastel. Its the most used animal in all projects.

I would get a female Mojave, then get a male pastel. That way your male pastel could breed any other females you happen to adopt. Because nobody stops at just one ball python.

Boy isn't that the truth...lol. They are like potatoe chips, you can't have just one! I love mojave and pastel, and both of those are pretty affordable. I would start with a female, then she can mature. Mojave female first, male pastel second, as said here. Then male can breed to lots of different things.

I would personally go for a female lesser, but a female mojo is a great starter morph!
And you can never go wrong w/ pastels. Maybe get them all! haha....
But seriously, get a female for sure. They take a while to raise up to breeding size. A male can breed in less than a year. And maybe by time your female is up to breeding weight, you could get a 2 gene male.

I would choose a female lesser also. They hold their value better and (IMO), make better combos. Then later on get a male mojo or something else. The lesser combos are more eye popping than pastel combos and you can make Leucistic's.
