Is it too much to hope that she might start glowing soon?

This is my first season and I'm starting to realize it's really hard to stay patient.

I'm curious if you think I might see my girl glow soon. She's a large girl at ~2500-2600g and she has been locking with males since late October. Originally she was pounding food like she was never going to get fed again. She almost got me a few times because she shot out of the tub after the rat so fast. Lately she hasn't been as ravenous. She will still eat but she's not shooting out to get me or the rat any more. I have seen her bowl wrapping and when she is about to shed she crams herself into her water dish. This was a new behavior that started after I started pairing her. I haven't really learned how to palpate yet so when I try I'm not sure what I am feeling. She is currently in shed and just locked with a male yesterday. I have never seen this male lock as long as he did yesterday. He usually locks for 4-5 hours and he's a 4 year old proven breeder. Yesterday they were locked for a minimum of 13 hours. So am I trying to count my chickens before they hatch or is it possible she might start glowing soon?

The glow is shortly after shed, you will know soon whether she's going to glow or if she will wait until after next shed to glow.

They go when the go, just keep pairing. If you don't have patience yet they will teach it to you. I have one 3000+ gram girl I have been waiting on for over 4 years.

I can get some pictures up later, I'm currently at work.

Good to know. I wasn't sure if it was always after a shed. Thank you.

Lol, I am slowly learning patience through this. I bought this girl as a proven breeder so hopefully I don't have to wait years for my first clutch from her. It was the fact that my male locked up with her for much longer than usual that got me hoping.
