    Had my first shed!!! :)

I used to "own" a ball python it was my childhood pet, but my dad took care of everything. Within the last month I decided to get my own as an adult and after research got a 3yr old, regular, retired breeder snake and while she is still really shy I've fallen in love.

Just this last week she was getting ready to shed so I stopped messing with her and just let her be. Since this was my very first "event" without my dad near I was freaking out slightly, but I kept the humidity up and today I check on her and she had a great shed! Everything came off in a nice, long, whole piece and she looks so much better; the caps on her eyes even came off.

I'm giving her her first meal tonight since she was a little too freaked out before the shedding to eat and then the shed happened And I've decided to just give her a couple of mice over the next few days instead of a medium rat like I was told. Since she's still adjusting and I wanna take it easy on her.

Anyway I super excited about it and wanted to share.

No need to take it easy on her...Feed her what she was eating...

If she's a big girl you don't want her stuck on mice...You'll need to feed several lg adult mice instead of one rat and it could become more costly.
