The Sulfur morph is similar to the Fire, and quite possibly the same. The super form of the Sulfur is a Black-eyed Leucistic. So far, all of the supers produced have displayed an extreme amount of yellow/orange splotching. It has been proven compatible with the Fire morph in producing Black-eyed Lucys by Jeff Luman.
All of my Sulfurs were purchased and produced by the originator of the line, David Reid, who originally discovered the morph in a local pet shop.
2011 Female Sulfur (note head spot):
2011 Female Sulfur Sable:
The Sable trait has darkened the Sulfur considerably, while the Sulfur trait has contributed to even more aberrant patterning than the Sable already has. It will be interesting to see how this girl changes as she grows, as the Sulfur is known to lighten considerably as it ages.
2009 Female Sulfur Mojave (hatchling/adult):
I remember being wowed when first seeing her. It literally looked like someone took a yellow highlighter and drew her pattern. She still takes my breath away today:
The kicker with this girl is that there was Yellowbelly in the pairing that produced her. David Reid believes that it's highly possible that she is a Sulfur Mojave Yellowbelly. I tend to err on the side of caution and accept that this is simply the greatest Sulfur Mojave ever produced.Hopefully I'll find out this year as she has been locking regularly with my Calico.
