Vision Cages... Pros and Cons....
I'm lookin on small cages for my House snakes and Small Australian Pythons (spotted, children)... Dont wanna go with rack because actually I want to watch them once a while You know...
I was looking on Vision Cages latelly... Especially models V111 V211 and V221 looks really tempting and afordable...
So.....Question ror all of you who used Vision cages before or using them now....
What's Your opinion about them and.... With Cages You can recomend instead... With same size to price ratio...
Thanks in Advance.

Check out animal plastics. Their cages are far superior, and I believe that they cost less than vision cages.

This link will take you to their terrestrial enclosures page.
*edit: or not lol not sure why it linked to their homepage, but just click on the terestrial cages section on the sidebar.

Rafal I have no experience with Vision cages however I do have experience with AP products for the past few years I have been slowly switching everything to AP products (http://www.animalplastics.com/) and could not be happier.
Their products are great, customer service it top notch and the prices are very reasonable and of course you can customize your cage based on your need which is a big plus.

They also come in white.
I have 4 of their T8's (4'x2'x1') costs $150. Best deal and the only cages I will buy in the future.

I'm also trying to make up my mind about what to buy for display. I keep checking this thread, but I am not seeing any updates (??!!! ). Who is using AP or Vision? Why did you choose one over the other? C'mon people, help me with my shopping decision!

I use AP, I chose AP because their cages that I got were the cheapest (the T8 $150 + shipping & any accessories) their cages are made from 1/2" thick PVC and are super strong (a few full grown men could stand on top of one). It being made of 1/2" thick PVC also makes it hold in heat and humidity very well.
AP cages are designed to work with flexwatt and stack very well (they even have pins to keep your stack aligned and safe)
Ap cages have slots routed into the bottom for your thermostat probe, and that was a major selling point for me.
Vision cages are 1 solid piece of plastic and are nowhere near as strong. I think that they don't look anywhere near as good as AP cages do. I'm also not a fan of the recessed heat lamp/floressent grates, they limit you to a certain heating/lighting configuration.
Overall I'd give AP cages 10 out of 10 and vision 7 out of 10

I have experience with 2 display cage types. When I first got snakes I had Visions. I did not like how flimsy the material was, and when you stacked them the doors would bind on the lower cages. They are a PIA to clean because of the lip that goes under and above the door. Also did not seem friendly to UTH. I used heat lamps.
The next one I got was a Boaphile that has lasted YEARS with no issues. This type of design is FAR superior IMO. Easier to clean, more aesthetically pleasing, easier to heat. So I would really look at the AP cage in your case over the vision. Any price difference is well worth it in the end.
