does anyone know if you can breed a kenyan sand boa to a sharp tail?

my buddy just picked up a kenyan sand boa or so he thought it was one. the guy who sold it to him had it labeled as a kenyan sharp tail. we were told today that these are two different kinds of boas as one gives birth to live young and one lays eggs. any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

If one lays eggs and one gives live birth, then no they cannot. That's a scenario that doesnt work with any reptile....
