Do not create a new account though as that is against the site rules and it will only get disabled anyway.
Just decide on what name you wish to change it to ( choose carefully as there is only one change allowed ) and then ask any admin if that name is available.
Also make sure you tell them which email address you wish to have the new details sent to to make sure you don't get locked out.
