    Breeding age females?

Not sure this goes here but does anyone sell breeding age females? I've heard they would cost a lot more, but I haven't even seen them available anywhere. Is this something breeders don't advertise and you need contact the directly to find out about?

They do cost considerably more...they're advertised on classifieds sites, just have to have a sharp eye. It may help to put up a "Wanted" ad if it's something specific you are looking for.

Odd.. I just posted this on FB..lol.

Breeding size and weight cost ALOT more. I have a beautiful dark pattern girl and i've had a few people off $50-75 for her ad it makes my head go "BOOM" I will say, I don't agree w3ith normals being $1,000...(i read it a few days ago on another thread) but like $300 to $500 wouldn't be a "bad" price.

Yeah $1,000 for a normal seems excessive. I was hoping a common base morph wouldn't be much more than that.

I've never seen a normal go for $1,000...anywhere from $75-150 is not uncommon as asking prices. You can find pastels and spiders in the $500-750ish range, other things a bit more. Of course I'm completely generalizing here, as prices are all over the place and you never know what you may come across.

You don't see them for sale that often because no breeder is going to spend 3 years raising up a female normal just to sell it for $100, it's just not worth it. Generally if breeding size females are up for grabs the breeder is downsizing/trading out females for something better, something is wrong with her, or they are getting out of breeding. You aren't going to see them advertised left and right, but they pop up here and there.

Really? From what I've seen at shows, $50-75 is about the going rate for breeding sized normal females. Being that I don't make too many shows, and I buy even less from them, I'd still say $75 is not an uncommon price on normal females-being at the lower end of the common range- be it on KS or Fauna...and I'd agree that it's usually when someone is downsizing/upgrading or getting out completely.
