    Help is this Scale Rot?

I just bought this snake yesterday. And I was looking at it and noticed this on it

She's in shed right now. But is this the beginning of scale rot? If it is how should I go about treating it? I'm new to the snake world and I don't want to make my snakes uncomfortable. The guy I got this snake from we have previously bought 7 of our snakes and they are in perfect health. Maybe I'm just crazy. But this didn't look normal

Should I just wait and see if it goes away with the shed?

I does look like a little cut to me too. I am not a vet, but it certainly doesn't look too serious. A dap of polysporin (no pain killer just regular) might be worth trying keep in clean and keep an eye on it if it gets worse head to a vet.

I agree, it looks like a cut. Typically you will notice scale rot under the snake rather than on the side-unless it's really bad I suppose.
