    holy snakes!!!

So me and my wife have gotten the ball python bite. Lol y'all have helped a lot in making this a fun and enjoyable pet and hobby. Today though I've had four different people call text or email me about snakes and some of them are so nice. Three are normals. I turned one down because she wanted 120 for a normal yearling male... Not my cup of tea. The second one was FREE with a boamasters complete setup its a normal male as well they claim but I'm thinking something fun is going on because he has a complete black back nothings broken it it at all. The third one was a guy I talked to like two weeks ago and he finally called back and said setup and all free. The best though was a girl who's a reputable breeder in our area that wants to trade me a 100 gram pinstripe 100percent het albino male for a 90 gallon tank with lid and three 150 watt lamps!!! Gahh anybody else get bit by the bug this bad??? My wife keeps telling me I'm nuts and we don't need this many snakes but I only have four right now. I figure a couple more can't hurt.

The bite is great. I think the community has a lot.to do with it.
6 months ago I had just gotten my first. Now I'm at 10 and plan on picking 3 more up soon.

Yup, it happens to the best of us I got my first ball at the end of September 2011, and now I have four, one more on the way by the end of the month.

At the beginning of 2011 I started out with 3 bp's. Now a year later I have 38 snakes. Most are ball pythons, but I do have a few boa's and two Blood pythons. I love working with my collection, and know that there will be a few more additions in the near future.....

These things are like eating chips....you can't have just one. I bought my first BP in Sept of 2008. I currently have 50 and that's after I was able to sell 28 offspring that we produced in the 2011 season. It can definitely be addicting. Have fun.

    Re: holy snakes!!!

ROFL I went from my son wanting a snake to 3 in about 6 months. Now I am working on a breeding plan and building a rack and incubator waiting for the show in March to hopefully find what I am looking for or waiting for temps to climb back up so shipping is safe

Haha I got the bite too!! About six months ago, give or take, we got our first two boa's. We lost one within a day, due to a previous health issue, but we still had the male. We got them for free as well. Well, after the female died, we were given a Brooks King snake to kinda make up for the incident with the female boa. (Bad vet diagnosis, not enough time, etc) Well, after that, we went to Repticon in Pasadena, Texas. There, we picked up our two normal ball pythons. After that, it was a corn snake, and then a boa cross. So we have six snakes right now lol. Imagine, two adults, four kids, 6 snakes, a scorpion a turtle and a dog, all in one houes haha. We STILL want more, but we accept the fact we cannot afford any more at this time. Its fun though, everyday I find something new that is fascinating about them.

Most of ours have been the ever dreaded CL rescues. One guy actually just texted my wife at 10 pm to ask if we could take in a snake tank and all. She seems to be in ok health
