    Rack Heating Question

I have a melanine rack planned out and I was planning on using a single strip of 11" flexwatt heat tape right down the back of the rack to heat it. But when I went to boamaster.com I saw these things called heat panels??? Im just curious if theyre the same thing as heat tape or like what they are I guess? Im still 99% sure Im going to buy heat tape because its much cheaper but was just wondering what heat panels were...

Heat panels are mounted inside of a cage and wouldnt work with a rack

    Re: Rack Heating Question

How big is the rack that your planning on building? How many tubs ? Don't forget the thermostat, very important! The rack that I built is 50" x 50" and 24" deep. It holds 18 32 qt tubs. I used three strips of 11" heat tape. works great for me !

Yes sorry i forgot to add that part!
Its going to only hold 5 34qt tubs. I wanna make it big enough to be able to fit 2 12qt tubs side by side too. ( I mean like each one of the shelves can hold one big tub or two smaller ones). I still have to calculate the exact dimensions for the tubs i bought today but im thinkin itll be about 24"w by 30"deep...I think one 11" strip of flexwatt down the back would be simpler than chaining 5 together but Im totally open to other suggestions anyone may have
