Yeah, mine has a tendency to be a retard occasionally. She'll bite and constrict her prey by the head (I dangle it by the tail in front of her) and then stupidly wander around it until she finally eats it butt first -.-'

She'll sit there and look at it for 40 minutes until she finally figures out which way it goes. Kind of cute...but I think she may have been dropped on her head a baby

My male mojo does the same thing. He's the sweetest snake I have, very good with everyone who handles him, but every time I feed him he has to make sure he starts tail end first on the rat, usually after very close examination for 20-50 minutes Makes him look extra special when my pastel female monster strikes and swallows in a matter of moments

To my horror, I had a female albino hatchling that would only eat live...alive, without killing it first. Fortunately, she grew out of it, lol.

I have one female that I have to place the rat to the left of her hide before she will eat. She doesn't constrict either just grabs and starts swallowing. Not sure what its about but if you put it any where else she won't eat. Tried going live nope not happening so it goes to the left and she hasn't refused since. Weird but it's whats working so I'll stick with it lol.

My female normal that I rescued from a bad home a year or two ago will not touch live prey. I've tried mice, rats, and just for kicks, ASFs (not trying to switch her to live, just out of curiosity). She does not even show the slightest interest. I'm not sure she even recognizes them as prey items. Every time I've tried baby rats I find them cuddled up with her on the heat tape, sometimes right in her coils! She gobbles down F/T voraciously though, so I'm not complaining. Definitely odd!
