Vivarium Electronics Thermostats - Questions about use with rack & incubator!

I'm ordering a thermostat for my new rack this weekend and I was going to get the Viv Elec VE-300 for my main rack.

The thing is, is that I'm also currently building an incubator out of a wine cooler and I will also need a thermostat for that.

I was going to get the VE-300 ($139.99) for the rack and a VE-200 ($114.99) for the incubator but I just now discovered the VE-300X2 model (Only $194.99) It seems much better than buying 2 seperate thermostats, but I can purchase both if necessary. Was just wondering if this would work.

    Link here: http://www.reptilebasics.com/thermos...nics-ve-300x2/

It says it has two independent heating zones and 2 probe cords, so does that mean I can use just this one thermostat on both my rack and incubator?

The only limiting factor is that they have to be close enough together to to be run from the same unit. Otherwise you should be good to go.

    Thanks for the answers.

They'll be in the same room, so that wont be a problem.

You will love it!! (I sure LOVE mine! )

Oh and just FYI if you call reptile basics, you wont find better service anywhere else! They have always answered all of my questions, and have been extremely helpful in taking care of my needs!

And for specs...what exactly are you looking for...

temp resolution, accuracy, are the big ones for me, I have not seen it quoted any where. Probe response time, Triac cycle, are curiosities for me, and does the unit monitor its self and shut down in the event of a detected failure? The manual is only a page a a bit and IMO is not really finished yet. I hope that it gets actually edited into a decent document, for myself (it is just the way I am) have specs on what the unit is capable of is critically important especially with an incubator for all I know it may have a +/- 2ºF like johnson ranco or worse 2ºC of the hydrofarms. I don't think this is the case but I don't know either and I don't like guessing.
