stronger genes

So I was thinking of starting breeding and I was wondering if I was using a more stunning normal like one that has that "look" too it would produce better offspring for example like if I bred a normal to a pastel would I end up with a better pastel by using that "better" normal

Oh definitely, a normal doesn't mean 'lack of genes', there are so many different things that affect color and pattern that normals, pastels, spiders, etc. all have. The gene for a morph just happens to do a very big job and changes quite a bit.

A bright normal, or even a bright morph can help bring out the best in a bright gene. Breed the brightest offspring to other bright snakes to continue improving the line. Also breed to other bright pastels as well!

So my next question is inbreeding, I know it can cause unwanted things, such as wobbles, but at what level is it safe to breed those genes again, cousins,uncles,great uncles 2nd cousins and so on. I know its kinda a dumb question but I was just curious
