Anybody using F10?
Hey Everybody,
I recently started using F10. Let me start by saying I think the product is great. You can smell the cleanliness. The problem I have is the fact that it dries my hands to the point of them cracking. I mix it at the suggested rate of 2.5 ml per 32 oz spray bottle. In fact, when I do the math it is more like 2.75ml to 32 oz spray bottle. The directions say if used correctly it is non abrasive even to human skin. Are any of you having the same issues?

I've been using it and haven't had any problems.

Dave,
What rate do you mix it at?

We use it at the 1:500 mix, which is 2ml per liter.
Hospital grade is 1:250 mix, which is 4ml per, I just don't think it needs to be that strong.
You are closer to 3ml per liter. You could pull it back some.
At the 1:500 mix, I haven't had any skin irritation.

I don't have any problems with the F10 sc or F10sc xd diluted at 1:500 and 1:250 for the XD. I also use the F10 hand soap. I actually am fairly sensitive to chemicals (chlorahexidine I reacted to). It is a Quaternary Ammonium base product I like it myself but ammonia compounds can irritate skin. The type of exposure amount and frequency of that exposure as well as a pre disposition to that compound will effect an individuals reaction to any chemical. It is never a bad idea to wear gloves when using any chemical. There are far too many things that are toted as 'safe' that in ten years are discovered to be 'not' safe. Never forget the purpose of a sanitizer is to kill things.

Thanks Robyn, I appreciate your suggestions. I figured I might be able to cut it back due to the fact it was eating my skin.

I've been using 3 CCs in a 26 oz spray bottle, which is about 1:250. I haven't had any issues at all.
