My first escape. And is this cage okay for him?
Yup. I was laying in bed at like 12:30am trying to get some sleep before my math final today and I hear something fall. I turn on the light didn't see anything and returned to attempting to sleep. 1am comes it happens again. Now I'm freaking out. My first thought was like "Ahh ghost!" but I did find what fell. I look up to my dust collecter shelf and there is Kraken my male Bp knocking over my stuff. I grabbed him and put him in his cage. Double checked on everyone else. Then started cleaning an old Zilla cage I had to put him in. 45mins later he's in the cage looking for a way out. Gah he had me restless the whole night. I'm just happy I found him before I realized he was even missing. couldn't of done it on a night I didn't have a final? Lolz
Which brings me to my next point. Is this cage okay for him? Or is it to small?

I would say it's too small, but if you can fit two hides in there for him as a hot side and a cold side, it would be okay as a temporary cage. He seems to be still fairly small, judging by the cage, I would suggest maybe a 15 or 20 gallon long tank, if your preference is tanks. If not, then a 28- 32 quart tube would work just as well, make sure they have locking lids and drill or solder holes into the tube, just be careful not to crack the tube if you're drilling. If you have any other questions I would be happy to help. Good luck, he's real nice.

Is that 1 sq feet?
If so too small, that's not enough space to get a nice warm hide and cool hide. BPs in general don't need much room but you need enough to get a temperature gradient going.

I don't know the demensions got it off Craigslist. He does have a hot a cool side but if to small ill switch him back to his original container once I fix it up. Don't want more escapes xP
He's small though only 130 grams.

They aren't called "escape artists" for lulz, haha.
Definitely need a bigger cage than that. As someone stated above, a temperature gradient is necessary so they can regulate their body temperature. I have my 25" ball in a 20G, and it is said that that's enough for them to live their entire lives in. I also have 6 locking clips on the screen (3 on each side) to make sure she doesn't escape, as she has attempted in the past. Once they get bigger, you pretty much have to sleep on top of the tank to keep them in, lol. But, for a 130g male, six locking clips and a 20G should be just fine.

I prefer not to use tanks. Like I said I'm going back the sweater box. x3 I got binder clips and it already has the clips on the side. I also got something to patch up the hole with that he squeezed out of.
Those with my college text books on top (need to use em for something) hopefully will prevent escapes. x]
