Males are indifferent to females! What is going on????
It's our third breeding season and we have started as we always do.
This year our males are not interested at all to females! We have put two males together, we have brushed sperm to each other male, nothing....
What else can we do?
We have been always feeding. Should we cut it?
Any advice pls?

I never stop feeding so long as they're taking it. I have a male that only recently really started showing interest in the ladies. Maybe they're just off to a slow start this season..

What has your weather been like?
They seem to breed better when the weather is bad. If you've got any rainy weather coming up you might get better results putting them together then.

Re: Males are indifferent to females! What is going on????
Alot of people I know are having a slow start.... I have been cycling males with females since 12-1..... I have only seen the pin lock up with the big normal girl, and the spot lock with the black pastel female... they dont seem to be interested in any other females, and the butter male seems to care less... As time progresses into the better part of the breeding season it will pick up

Mine are locking up great now. Keep feeding them up, and make sure your lights are on the same schedule as the sun (if you use more ambient window light).
Don't blame the boys--it's the girls who aren't putting out the correct pheromones to interest them, yet. Once they do, the boys will be interested. Keep cycling them through. When a big storm comes in, mist all the bins down, and I bet you'll see some activity starting.
There are some females who won't start breeding until the spring storms arrive, so don't give up on them.
