Shed is on the right track!!

Hey everyone! My girl just got done shedding, I have been watching her all night, and it went SO much better than last time! She had a small patch of stuck shed on her from her last shed that would not come off no matter how many times I soaked her and it came off with this shed and so did everything else! She is the prettiest I have ever seen her!

I say this shed was better, but not perfect. It still came off in pieces BUT, it all came off. Humidity is strong at 60%, but I don't think I caught the shed cycle in time and bumped it up to 80% too late. I misted all night and I just pulled her out because there was a tiny little skin piece stuck on her tail that was driving her insane AND driving me insane looking at it, but it rubbed right off with my finger tip.

So, I am very happy that at least I do not have to soak her this time at all and she is on the right track! I will just be watching like a hawk for the next shed cycle and get the humidity elevated immediately.

I plan on taking lots of pictures tomorrow because she is sooooo pretty! I am letting her rest first though, poor thing is exhausted Rough night.

Anyway, just sharing my excitement that shedding is getting better rather than worse. I was tearing my hair out last time!

And bigger! I cannot believe the growth rate! This is my first snake, so all of this is very new and novel to me. I love her to death, she is such a fun pet, why doesn't everyone want one?! Oh well, more for us.

i totally hear ya. my girl went from this...

    to this...in 6 months!

that 2nd pic has bad lighting so the contrast is off.

my girl is in shed now & i cant WAIT to see her shine again.

also those square hides recently had to be replaced by 44 oz. bowls & those are just about up to the front glass
(pics to come after christmas) mind you the cage depth is about 12 in. the square hides were 6.5" x 6.5" & the bowls now pretty much take up all that space.
