Insulating bottom of Tank with UTH?

How do you insulate the bottom of the tank with a UTH? What materials do you use? Do you cover the UTH? Any How-to's?

You can use whichever substrate you've decided to use to cover the UTH. Just make sure you have a t-stat to control the UTH.

Oh is that what people mean by insulating the bottom? When they are talking about insulating the sides, back, and bottom? I am using a thin black insulated foam from Lowe's and black foil tape to do the sides and back but was unsure what to use for the bottom of the tank.

I am using a coconut husk(Eco earth) for the substrate to keep in the humidity. Also I will be working on the lid tomorrow using the DIY enclosing 3/4 of the lid with foil/ foil tape. This should help hold in temps better and humidity. Although I don't believe humidity will be a problem because I keep the room the cage is kept in around 45-55% humidity already. I am more worried about temps since the ambient temp in the room is between 65-75 degrees depending on time of day and time of the year.

I am using a Zoo-Med 30-40 gallon UTH connected to a Hydro farm Digital Thermostat. I currently only have a flukers thermometer/ hygrometer measuring the ambient temps and humidity at the top back of the tank and it shows 76 degrees and 70% humidity currently. I have 1 towel draped over 3/4 of the lid. Also I have a Acu-rite thermometer/ hygrometer with probe on order and praying its here by Saturday. If not I will be picking up a infrared digital therm Saturday morning on my way to pick him up!

FYI there isn't a snake in the cage yet I will not be picking it up til Saturday. So I have to get this right by then!

I already had the 20 gal tank and lid and table prior to deciding I wanted a Ball python. Hence I know a tub may be easier to maintain I already had this. I also would like to watch him while I sit at my computer working(I work from home 1/2 the time from my computer) since the cage is in my computer room.
