    Eye cap?

My BP had this on her left eye since I got her 2 months ago. She recently shed and it still looks the same. Her shed definitely included a left eye cap. What do you suppose is going on?

Hmmm.....weird. maybe there is a couple layers of eye caps on there, and just the last one came off when she shed? I'm not sure, so I hope someone else can help you out better.

    Re: Eye cap?

    Hi,

The eye looks clear to me?

I think it looks more like a blocked duct which isn't allowing the fluid to drain from around the eye ( I think it's called the lacrimal duct? ).

    Re: Eye cap?

    Hi,

I think it is something that needs a vet but read through these threads as well.

I'm always really wary of damaging eyes so would probably recommend having the vet do it and perhaps show you how to irrigate it etc.
